Opening Protection Inspection

150.00

An opening protection inspection evaluates the windows, doors, skylights, and other exterior openings to determine the type and level of wind-borne debris protection present. The inspection identifies impact-rated products and/or hurricane protection systems and documents whether openings are protected in accordance with commonly accepted wind mitigation standards.

This inspection is often performed in conjunction with a wind mitigation inspection and is used by insurance carriers to assess storm-related risk and applicable credits.

Includes:
• Identification of opening protection types
• Documentation of impact-rated windows and doors
• Verification of hurricane shutters (when present)
• Photo documentation of labels, markings, and protection systems
